The term ‘governance’ has recently become ‘flavour of the month’ in not for profit circles, attracting attention without necessarily understanding
Many of the issues that not for profit organisations identify are symptomatic of a lack of understanding of governance – the part it plays in an organisation, the rights, responsibilities and roles of both boards and their workers – the systems to ensure that good governance develops..
What does governance mean in the not for profit world?

• What helps or hinders development?

There are also particular topics that require more careful consideration

• What does inclusive governance mean and how can it be achieved?
• How can we develop a more entrepreneurial approach to governance within non profit distributing organisations?
